HT Covid Fund

The Covid-19 crisis has had a dramatic economic impact on many people, including those in our own church and denomination. As a church we are exceptionally grateful for the Heartstrings ministry and the support it supplies to those in financial need in Holy Trinity. Many thanks to those who have supported and continue to support this ministry. However, we are also aware that much need exists in the broader church community and would like to offer assistance where possible.

 

As such, for the next six months at least, Holy Trinity will be amalgamating Heartstrings with a larger Covid-19 response that will include support for Zwelihle (via Inani) as well as the ReachSA Covid Fund, which provides support for ReachSA ministers whose income has been severely affected by the non-meeting of churches and the economic challenges of their congregations. This fund will comprise a set amount put aside by HT towards Covid-19 relief, as well as weekly or other donations from church members over and above their monthly giving. 

 

All future donations to support Heartstrings, Inani and ReachSA ministers are to please be paid directly into the church’s bank account with the reference ‘Covid Fund.’

These funds will then be distributed amongst those in need, with the Heartstrings ministry receiving the bulk of the funds. If you feel strongly that you would like support a particular ministry within this broader group, you are welcome to make a donation with that particular reference (e.g. ‘Heartstrings’ or ‘Inani’); those funds will then be used exclusively for that ministry.
